The Tunnel to Towers Foundation presented a mortgage-free, specially adapted smart home to injured Navy veteran Petty Officer 3rd Class Paul Hurley in Warrenton, Virginia. Hurley, a third-generation service member, lost his right leg and suffered traumatic injuries in a 2006 attack while deployed in Bahrain. The fully ADA-compliant smart home is designed to restore his independence and honor his service and sacrifice.
