WTTG FOX 5 News – Washington DC's #1 News Station with the most hours of local news - is looking for an experienced Freelance Studio Technician/Master Control Operator to provide production support for our top-rated newscasts and network programming.  The ideal candidate should be comfortable working as part of a team in a fast-paced, live production environment.  The Freelance Studio Technician/Master Control Operator operates any or all of the following: production switchers, robotic cameras, character generators, playout servers, audio consoles, master control switchers, non-linear editing software, and other production support equipment.  The Freelance Studio Technician/Master Control Operator performs various functions including, but not limited to: technical director, audio operator, robotic camera, floor director, and/or master control.  Proven ability to operate in live broadcast environments, specifically news production, is required.  Experience with automated control room and master control environments is a plus. Ideal candidate will be able to take direction, think critically under pressure, and work professionally as part of a cohesive team within specific time constraints.

Qualifications: HS Diploma (or equivalent) required.
