What You’ll Do

  • Lead Daily Production: Responsible for all aspects of assigned newscasts – from story selection and editorial decisions to final delivery.

What You’ll Do

  • Scene Management: Execute the placement and operation of studio scenes and structures, including the setup and take down of sets, backdrops, and furniture according to daily production needs.
  • Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repair on scenic elements, structures, and studio equipment.
  • Lighting Operation: Assist with the placement and operation of studio lighting, including hanging, focusing, and maintaining various lighting devices.

Required Qualifications & Physical Demands

  • Education: High school diploma (or equivalent) is required. A 2-4 year college/technical degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of recent, relevant experience as a stagehand, set technician, or similar role in a live broadcast, theatrical, or production environment.
  • Driving: Must have, or be willing to obtain, a valid local driver’s license (DC, MD, VA), be able to drive, and maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and insurance eligibility.
  • Physical Demands:Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs.Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.Physical dexterity required, including the ability to go up and down stairs, climb ladders, bend, squat/crouch, kneel, and twist.

Additional Details

Candidate will also be required to join the I.A.T.S.E Local 819 union. This position will be for no less than two weeks, with no end date determined at this time.

Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY:

The ideal candidate will work alongside a dynamic team of sales individuals. This person will be responsible for growing an established book of business as well as generate new business, sell OTT/CTV platforms, and sell unique multi-screen promotional sponsorships. Work independently and with sales management to implement strategies to maintain strong client and agency relationships, consistently grow revenue, and exceed revenue goals. Present and negotiate all aspects of the Stations and digital offerings. Deliver unique and valuable packages to new and existing clients. Meet and communicate with clients regularly to help expedite the closing process. Prepare and deliver sales presentations to clients. Process transactional business. Work with clients and station personnel to develop advertising schedules. Timely management of accounts and administrative tasks. Maintain a high level of communication with station and corporate management, sales staff, and all station personnel. Participate in sales trainings and meetings.

WHAT YOU ARE BRINGING:

  • 3+ years professional experience in Video advertising Sales, Account Management, and/or Business Development.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Digital Ad sales savvy.
  • Experience developing new business, with a record of digital success.
