Icing threat continues tonight to the northwest; snow threatens DC Thursday

The second half of the winter has been anything but quiet. Despite only 4.7" of snow here in Washington this winter, the better part of the last month has brought us multiple winter threats each and every week, and this week looks to be one that will continue that trend, through not always in the form of pure snow.

Ice could make for slick weekend travel; another round of winter weather possible Tuesday

February has certainly thrown a lot at us weather wise. Even though we have yet to get a significant snow in downtown D.C. When will it snow? Two-pronged winter storm takes aim at DC region

Despite the relatively low snowfall total for Washington, D.C. so far this winter, as only 3.8" of snow has fallen to date, it has been a very active second half of the winter in terms of the number of winter storms.
