They unanimously passed Peace D.C.--council member Brooke Pinto?s plan to recruit and retain officers and bolster violence interruption programs. They also passed an emergency juvenile curfew for the summer. FOX 5?s David Kaplan was at the meeting.

Tonight?s severe weather was the latest round of storms to hit the DMV in recent weeks and some people are still dealing with the fallout from previous storms. Last Thursday, a large tree fell across 75-year-old Maxine Sterling?s driveway, blocking the entrance to her home. The tree stood on her neighbor?s property, but since it fell on her driveway, the neighbor?s insurance company says it is Maxine?s responsibility to remove it.
