Supreme Court issues ruling allowing emergency abortions to continue in Idaho
The Supreme Court has cleared the way for emergency abortions to resume in Idaho despite a statewide ban on the procedure. The brief unsigned opinion dismissed Idaho's challenge to a federal law that requires hospitals that receive federal funds to provide emergency stabilizing care to patients, which sometimes can include abortions.
