SNOW FORECAST: Two more winter storm chances before week's end

No rest for the weary here in the DC region this January. After a very warm December and what was essentially a two-year snow drought from the DC region, the pattern has really flipped so far here through the first few weeks of 2022.

SNOW TIMING UPDATE: When the wintry weather will move across our region Sunday

We’re expecting moderate snow to be present across the Beltway by 3:30 p.m., with pockets of heavy snow in the 4 to 5 p.m. window. The heaviest, which could fall at a rate of an inch or more per hour, will come through between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. in D.C.

SNOW FORECAST: Snow, sleet and rain expected Sunday into Monday across DC region

It is becoming increasingly likely that parts of the region will be dealing with a significantly impactful winter storm during the second half of the upcoming Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend.

WINTER WEATHER PREDICTION: MLK Jr. weekend could see snowfall

Following up our snowiest week in three years here in DC, which saw DC pick up 9.5 inches of snowfall, the weather team once again has their eyes on a potential winter storm taking aim at our region for the upcoming Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend ahead.
