The "Giving Machine? Returns to the DC area for the holidays. Vending Machines are staples of hotels and snack rooms, pushing out sodas, chips, candy and more. But Giving Machines are a twist on the traditional vending machine because with these you can give meals, gas for a car or toys to families who really need it in the DMV. Local author shares journey of hope for those grieving on Thanksgiving

Just in time for the holidays, Debbie Gail Zane has created a special group program for December to help people grieving the loss of a child get through the most difficult time of year. Debbie says at times like this it is especially important to be around people that understand where you are and will accept you without judgment and expectation. She wants people to know they don?t have to go through it alone, and to help them survive the pain and move forward without feeling like they are leaving their person behind.

Feast with Flair: Sequoia rolls out Thanksgiving spread

Sequoia, the two-level restaurant in Georgetown?s Washington Harbour, is offering a Thanksgiving buffet on Thursday, November 28 from noon until 8 p.m. Priced at $125 per person, with children 6-11 at half-price ($62.50) and children under 5 are free. The adult menu includes bottomless wine pours.
