Hot, steamy conditions Friday as DC area enters day 6 of longest heat wave of the season

(FOX 5 DC) - Friday will be mostly sunny and another hot and humid day with highs in the low-to-mid 90s. It will also mark day six of our longest heat wave of the season. 

Saturday will be even hotter and more humid with heat index values near 105 degrees.

An approaching cold front will also bring scattered thunderstorms with some being strong with heavy rainfall.
