EXCLUSIVE: CHIEF MALIK AZIZ SPEAKS FOR FIRST TIME ON DECISION TO APPLY FOR PHOENIX, AZ CHIEF JOB

In an exclusive interview with FOX 5's Stephanie Ramirez at Friday's Zip Trip, Prince George's County Police Chief Malik Aziz revealed he has not been contacted yet by County Executive Elect Aisha Braveboy on whether she wants him to stay or depart his role as chief. Braveboy is expected to be sworn in next week, on June 19th. Much of the region learned by surprise earlier this week that Chief Aziz has been selected as a top three candidate in Phoenix, Arizona's search for their next police chief.
