Harris, Trump court undecided voters as Election Day nears

Both Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are zeroing in on undecided voters with just over two weeks to go until Election Day. What would be the impact of raising tariffs on products made outside of the U.S.?

Some economic analysts are warning that former President Donald Trump’s plan to raise tarrifs on products made outside of the U.S. could have an inintended consequence. Trump says he’d deploy tarrifs on China and other countries as a way to force them to open up manufacturing and create jobs in the U.S. but not everyone is onbord. Will McBride of the Tax Foundation tells FOX 5’s On The Hill that there’s no quck fix to get companies to move their factories here. In the meantime it could wind up raising prices across the board.

New polling shows younger generation identifying as Republican

With Election Day almost two weeks away, new polling indicates that more people in a generation are identifying themselves as Republicans instead of Democrats. Both Gallup and the Wall Street Journal are out with new polling in the past few days. The Journal says it appears people who call themselves ‘consistent voters” are likely to be democratic voters. However, a Gallup poll found for the first time most people say they are Republicans. Aaron Zitner with the Wall Street Journal spoke with FOX 5’s Tom Fitzgerald.
