Photojournalist arrested during President Trump's inauguration in court

An American photojournalist arrested while covering President Donald Trump's inauguration which sparked mass protest in January is due in court today.

Alexei Wood, a freelance photojournalist, has been charged with multiple felonies and faces decades in prison.

Wood was one of more than 200 citizens arrested during the demonstrations held at the same time as President Trump's inauguration.

The trials of several people arrested in the inauguration day riots begin today. the cases could stretch out over the course of four weeks.
