Gaithersburg officer seen high-fiving elementary kids at crosswalk
GAITHERSBURG, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - As a group of kiddos merrily crossed a busy street in Olde Town Gaithersburg, one officer had something waiting for all of them-- high-fives!
While at a stop light, Deja Lewis noticed the officer greeting the Gaithersburg Elementary School kids with high fives. She said the heartwarming gesture was "awesome."
In the video, a large group of kids made their way across a busy intersection and it seemed like the line did not have an end. "His hand is going to get tired," Deja said in the background.
But the smiling cop did not tire and had ample high-fives to go around.
