DC officials to investigate noxious odor near former Walter Reed hospital
WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - D.C. investigators will begin to take new action to try to figure out what's causing an awful smell near the former site of Walter Reed Hospital.
People living near the area have been complaining of an odor so strong, it forced some of them to call 911.
Residents say the noxious smell seems to come from the direction of the construction site. The D.C. Office of Energy and Environment says inspectors will begin patrolling the site Thursday to try and locate the odor.
So far air quality tests haven't found anything dangerous.
