Snow, wintry mix possible for areas north and west of DC Sunday night
WASHINGTON - Even as spring starts to head our way bringing sunshine and higher temps, we continue to see the possibility of some snow Sunday night into early Monday morning.
Meteorologist Gary McGrady says any accumulation of snow Sunday will head toward suburbs north and west of the District.
McGrady says rain showers are possible for Sunday evening, but for areas that are cooler north and west, some snow may appear on grassy surfaces.
"Temperatures are going to be too warm Metro-south, for there I think to be any accumulation. Maybe a little dusting of white here or there," says McGrady.
"The roads will be too warm I think to be a problem because tomorrow we're going to be in the 60's and so we're going to have warm roads out there."
McGrady says Wednesday should temps in the upper 50s, lower 60s again with some scattered showers and sunshine again by Thursday and Friday.
