Presidents Day 2016 storm brings snow, wintry mix, freezing rain

It wasn't a record-breaking snowfall, but a President's Day storm brought us just about every possible combination of winter weather we could get.

The snow started early in the morning Monday and accumulated in spots across the D.C. region. A Winter Storm Warning had been issued for areas to the north and west while Winter Weather Advisories were in place in and around the District.

BETWEEN 10PM - 12AM: The changeover to freezing rain should take place by midnight.

OVERNIGHT - TUESDAY MORNING: Changeover to all rain, but before the temperatures reach the above-freezing mark, ice will accumulate

We'll get a sample of all winter has to offer in the next day or two. But, as always, there is something to look forward to. Temperatures will be near 60 degrees by the weekend!

Lots of snow for us so far this President's Day, but now we need to worry about Phase 2 of this winter storm. Sue Palka FOX 5 DC, Caitlin Roth FOX 5 DC and Mike Thomas Fox 5 are here with the latest update!
