Winter will soon be here in the DMV! In fact, on Wednesday morning, some of us could see our first accumulating snow of the year in the D.C. region. 

Tuesday morning began with a mild start with temperatures across the region rising into the 50s in many locations. You would never guess that less than 24 hours from now, some of us could be seeing our first accumulating snow of the year.

After a soggy Monday, we are expecting yet another round of showers that will develop in the morning and continue into the night Tuesday.

Wednesday morning may surprise us with a little sneak attack of snow! Here's what to expect.

Monday will be wet but not a washout, says FOX 5's Gwen Tolbart. Grab that umbrella and expect rain and showers, heaviest by evening -- with some breaks in between. Regardless, travel safe on the roads!

You made it to the end of the workweek! Our Friday starts out cold with suburbs in the upper 20s although some sunshine and lighter winds will make it easier to deal with the chill.

It's a typically chilly but bright December morning as we're back to full sunshine Thursday.
