Students report being shot by BB gun pellets on University of Maryland campus

Police are investigating after two students on the University of Maryland campus reported being struck by BB gun pellets.

The incidents happened Sunday evening. Investigators say the first incident was reported around 7:30 p.m. by a male student on Paint Branch Drive between the Kim Engineering and Biomolecular Science Buildings. The second incident also involved a male student who reported being stuck by a BB gun pellet around 8:30 p.m. as he walked on the sidewalk of Stadium Drive between Stadium Drive Garage and Ellicott Hall.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators say they believe a dark colored two or four door vehicle is connected to the shooting incidents.
