Court documents: DC elementary school teacher raped woman who blacked out in his home

A D.C. Public Schools teacher is facing felony sex charges after a woman blacked out in his home, only to wake up naked and in severe pain.

According to court documents, Rudy Gonzalez - a music teacher at Shepherd Elementary School - met with the alleged victim last week at Westfield Wheaton mall and then brought her back to his Silver Spring home, saying he would teach her English and help her become a U.S. citizen.

While at his home, he allegedly offered her drinks, but she didn't know what was in them. After that, she lost consciousness, only to wake up around 7 a.m. the next day in severe pain.

She told the authorities that he handed her clothing that had been washed, and then dropped her off at a Wendy's location near the mall. A Wendy's employee found her unconscious in shrubbery outside the eatery.

After being transported to Shady Grove Medical Center, the victim needed reconstructive surgery, and had numerous bruises and other injuries.

According to court documents, Gonzalez conceded that he had sexual contact with the victim, and that she was intoxicated. He noted that he was concerned she would accuse him of rape because of her intoxication level.
