American University offering to pay students to move off campus
The dorms are full on campus at American University so the school is offering students a $500 gift card to move off campus.
The school sent an email out to students who are living on campus offering to waive the $500 housing termination fee for students who cancel their residence hall assignments.
Some students say there's not enough incentive to accept the gift cards.
Right now, construction is underway on a new dorm room that is set to open next year.
