100-year sentence for ex-school aide Deonte Carraway in sex abuse case
GREENBELT, Md. - Former school aide, Deonte Carraway, has been sentenced to 100 years in prison after he pleaded guilty in court to 23 charges involving sex abuse of minors in Prince George's County.
Earlier this year, 23-year-old Carraway pleaded guilty in federal court after he admitted to recording at least a dozen boys engaged in sex acts inside Judge Sylvania Woods Elementary School where he volunteered. In August, he was sentenced to 75 years in prison.
Carraway wrote a letter to Judge Leo Green back in June asking for all of his charges to be dropped, stating he'd received inadequate representation from his attorney. Carraway claimed he hadn't talked to his lawyer in over a year.
