Cold, sleet and snow expected Friday night into Saturday
WASHINGTON - Our first taste of winter snow will make its way through the region Friday night and Saturday morning.
Winter Weather Timeline:
FRIDAY NIGHT - Cold air in place Friday as the sun goes down
FRIDAY LATE EVENING - Begins as light snow later into the night. A dusting of snow could gather on the ground which will turn to a glaze of ice in the metro area and in the suburbs. 1/10 of an inch of snow/ice could accumulate.
SATURDAY AM - Late morning change to all rain. Temperatures reach highs in the 50s.
SUNDAY - Some sunshine with temps around 60.
