Football fans are in for a treat as the NFL's Week 2 kicks off with a highly anticipated matchup. The Washington Commanders will travel to Lambeau Field to face the Green Bay Packers on Thursday Night Football.

Washington at Green Bay

Thursday's game, which is the opener for the second week of the regular season, will air at 8:15 p.m. ET.

The Washington Commanders are coming off a Week 1 victory and currently have a 1-0 record after defeating the New York Giants 21-6.

The Green Bay Packers, who were ranked as high as ninth in some preseason power rankings, also have a 1-0 record after a Week 1 win against the Detroit Lions, 27-13, last Sunday.

A major storyline is the Packers' new pass rusher, Micah Parsons, who has had great success against the Commanders in the past and had a strong Week 1 debut, according to the NFL.

For the Commanders' offense, the focus is on the dual-threat abilities of quarterback Jayden Daniels and the versatility of new wide receiver Deebo Samuel.

Another storyline is the matchup of the two quarterbacks and their defenses, with the Commanders' defense showing strong form in their Week 1 victory, while the Packers' defense is still getting used to its new pieces.

Will the Commanders be able to catch the Packers before their defense is at full strength?

NFC East Week 2 Schedule

While the Commanders and Packers face off on Thursday, the rest of the NFC East will play on Sunday, September 14.

The New York Giants will travel to face the Dallas Cowboys in a divisional matchup. Both teams are 0-1 going into Sunday. The Cowboys lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1 by a score of 24-20.

The Philadelphia Eagles will play the Kansas City Chiefs in a high-profile Super Bowl LIX rematch. The Chiefs lost to the Los Angeles Charges 27-21 Week 1.
