Metro to remain open late for Nats, Mystics fans
WASHINGTON - Washington sports fans have a lot to celebrate this fall, with the Mystics playing in the WNBA finals and the Nationals competing in the National League Division Series.
Metro is accommodating fans with expanded service hours from certain stations.
The Navy Yard-Ballpark Station will remain open for 20 minutes after the end of the game for the Nationals/Dodgers series games.
The same “flex” closing time will be in effect at Congress Heights Station for Mystics fans.
Roughly one in four fans at Nationals Park used Metro to get home following Tuesday night’s National League Wildcard Game, according to Metro.
