The Mansion Murders, Episode 7: The Restraining Order

WASHINGTON - Since our last episode, we have new updates in the story of the Savopoulos murders. Katerina Savopoulos-- the daughter of Amy and Savvas Savopoulos, who were tragically murdered on May 14, 2015-- was granted a one-year restraining order against her grandfather Philip Savopoulos.

The restraining order is in effect from September 21, 2017 until September 20, 2018. This comes two and half years after the murders of Katerina's parents. The new and surprising update holds more questions in this constantly unfolding story.

We talk to top D.C. criminal defense attorney Bernie Grimm. Grimm is not associated with this case and spoke to us based on his own experience.

Grimm breaks down what the restraining order means, and the disturbing allegations that Katerina has made against her grandfather.

Plus, a source close to this case has told FOX 5 reporter Marina Marraco that a grand jury is still open. Why? Why would a grand jury still be open when suspect Daron Wint has already been indicted and is awaiting trial which is set for September 2018? Grimm breaks all this down for us.
