Washington Wizards trade Kyle Kuzma to Milwaukee Bucks for Khris Middleton: reports

The Washington Wizards have traded forward Kyle Kuzma to the Milwaukee Bucks for former All-Star and NBA champion forward Khris Middleton.

The trade also includes Wizards sending forward Patrick Baldwin Jr. to Milwaukee in exchange for Bucks guard AJ Johnson.

The Wizards will receive a 2028 first-round pick from Milwaukee, while the Bucks get a 2025 second-round pick from Washington.

Middleton's injury struggles

Middleton, 33, has struggled with injuries and played limited games this season.

He helped the Bucks win the NBA title in 2021 and the U.S. win gold at the Tokyo Olympics.

Despite his injuries, Middleton remains a key player for the Bucks.

Kuzma's new opportunity

Kuzma, 29, will join the Bucks as his third team after four years with the Los Angeles Lakers and parts of four years with the Wizards.

He has averaged 17.2 points per game for his career and is looking for a fresh start in Milwaukee.

The trade provides Kuzma with a chance to play for a playoff-contending team.
