Wanted man hits big at casino, avoids jail

A man, moments away from being arrested, was spared jail time after he hit big at a casino and was able to pay his fine.

The incident happened last week in the German city of Bochum.

An online report on TheLocal.de, said that police spotted a 37-year-old wanted man in a casino at a slot machine. The man was ordered by police to pay a fine equal to about $800 or face over two months in jail.

As the police prepared to make the arrest, the slot machine the man was at started to flash and paid him out over $1100.

The man was able to pay the fine on the spot and avoid jail time.
