Virginia road crews prepare for winter weather

FAIRFAX, Va. - Virginia road crews are preparing for a blast of bitter cold weather.

VDOT were out overnight pre-treating roads in Fairfax, Loudoun and Arlington counties. The crews are expected to be out again Wednesday.

In northern Virginia alone, more than five thousand lane miles will be treated with a mix of salt and water, before getting hit with the big freeze.
