The cold weather is believed to have caused a pipe to burst inside Bowie High School in Prince George's County.

Cell phone video recorded from inside of the school and posted on Twitter showed water pouring down from the ceiling and flooding a walkway that connects two parts of the school building.

"No classrooms were affected and students used a doorway nearby to walk around the area," Prince George's County Public Schools spokesperson John White said. "School and system maintenance responded immediately to clean up the area and begin making repairs."

White also told FOX 5 that their maintenance team believes the incident is related to the frigid temperatures the D.C. region has been experiencing.
