Toddler found safe after abduction from Gary foster home

A 15-month-old boy has been found safe after he was taken late Monday from his foster home in Gary, Indiana, prompting an AMBER Alert.

About 11:20 p.m., two suspects with their faces covered showed a gun and took Timothy Jackson, Jr., from his foster home in the 2200 block of Waite Street, according to Gary police.

Gary police announced that the toddler was found safe Tuesday night. Additional details were not immediately available.

Authorities believe the abduction was planned by the boy's mother and father, 15-year-old Rosalinda Tecaxco and 17-year-old Timothy Jackson, Sr. Tecaxco is a ward of the state who was reported as a runaway on Friday and the elder Jackson was also reported as a runaway, police said.
