WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - If you haven't noticed, it is extremely hot outside today in the District. In fact, it is the hottest day on record in the month of October in D.C. ever!
FOX 5's Gary McGrady and Mike Thomas say Wednesday's temperatures reached 98 degrees officially at Reagan National Airport at around 2 p.m., which breaks the former monthly record of 96 degrees that has stood since 1941.
Although, it may be a scorcher today, the heat won't stick around (thankfully.)
On Thursday, the high will be around 81 degrees in the D.C. region, bringing a push of fall air along with it.
