It's the first one. Here's why.

According to an article in Reader's Digest, when people are faced with options they tend to select the middle choice. This habit is something psychologists call "centrality preference."

This means since there's a good chance of the middle stall being frequently chosen it runs a higher risk of also being the dirtiest.

Experts say the first stall is typically the least used making it the number one choice.
