GERMANTOWN, Md. - Surveillance video released by Montgomery County police captures gunfire inside a Giant Food store in Germantown that sends shoppers scrambling for cover.
The shooting happened around 8:40 p.m. on March 20 inside the store on Leaman Farm Road.
Police say 19‑year‑old Marcus Isaiah Jovon Braithwaite of Germantown and 16‑year‑old Demba Tandia of Montgomery Village chased another teenager through the aisles with guns drawn.
In the video, the victim runs past checkout lanes crowded with customers as at least one of the suspects fires multiple rounds, authorities say.

Investigators say one of the suspects dropped a cellphone while fleeing.
Tandia, who is charged as an adult, was arrested March 25 in Sterling, Va., where he is awaiting extradition to Montgomery County. Braithwaite was arrested March 31 in Germantown and is being held at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit pending a bond hearing.
Both suspects are expected to appear in court Thursday.
