Police: Man dead after being struck by vehicle in Northeast DC

WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - A man is dead after he was struck by a vehicle in Northeast D.C. Wednesday evening, police say.

The incident happened in the 5000 block of North Capitol Street, NE, at around 6:30 p.m.

Police say the man was transported to an area trauma center with critical, life-threatening injuries following the crash. He was later pronounced dead.
