Police: Homeowner shot, killed intruder inside house in Culpeper County

CULPEPER, Va. - Police say a homeowner shot and killed an intruder inside of his home in Culpeper County.

The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. Thursday at a house on the 14000 block of Woodland Church Road in Culpeper.

Police say the alleged suspect was dead when they arrived on the scene. Investigators canvassed the Woodland Church Road area when they arrived during a search for more possible suspects.

The name of the alleged suspect has not been released. The investigation is continuing at this time.
