Man used social media to meet 14-year-old girl for paid sex at Montgomery County hotel, police say

SILVER SPRING, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - Police arrested a man they say used social media to meet a 14-year-old girl who he would pay to have sex with in a Montgomery County hotel.

Officers say 32-year-old Mark David Peay from Severna Park was arrested last week and faces multiple charges including sexual solicitation of a minor and human trafficking.

Investigators say Peay met the teen on social media. They say he paid her money and subsequently engaged her in sexual intercourse in late April at a hotel in Silver Spring.

Detectives are concerned there may be additional victims. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 240-773-5958.
