Man critically injured after Southeast DC shooting

WASHINGTON - A shooting in Southeast D.C. has left a 26-year-old man critically injured, according to officials.

The shooting happened steps away from a Metropolitan Police Department crime deterrence corner, which houses an electronic billboard that warns: CCTV cameras in use by MPD.

The man was taken to the hospital with 11 gunshot wounds, and despite his serious injuries he is expected to survive.
