Leesburg Police Department is investigating a homicide

LEESBURG, Va. - Leesburg Police Department is investigating a homicide.

A woman, a mother of three, was shot multiple times, Sunday evening at the 300 block of Nansemond Street in Leesburg, Virginia.

Sadly the victims 15 year old daughter was home when the shooting happened.

The victim has been identified as 34-year-old Christina Fisher.

Police responded to the scene and found her suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

She was flown to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Police say this is domestic shooting and there is no danger to the public.

They do have a person of interest who was taken into custody outside of Leesburg but they are not releasing his name at this time.
