Las Vegas couple use truck to transport shooting victims

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX 13) - A Las Vegas woman and her fiance said they don't know how they are alive after they sat in the front row during the Jason Aldean concert when shots rang out.

Lindsay Lee posted on her Instagram account that the couple had been in the front row during the Sunday night concert before the mass shooting began.

"Bad time to be front row huh. I can't believe we are alive," her post said.

The suspect has been identified as Stephen Paddock, 64, who, law enforcement said, fired into the concert audience from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel, killing at least 50 and injuring at least 400.

As the couple was driving away, she recorded video of the chaos. One bystander stopped by her passenger window requesting they transport some of the injured in their truck bed.

"Right now, we need your truck," he said to Lee. "We just need to get people to the hospital."

"Go ahead. Put them all in the back," she responded.

Her video showed people helping the wounded and carrying the victims on sections of barrier gates used as gurneys.

"A nightmare," Lee wrote in her video post. "On the ground all looking at my friends on top of each other as people are being shot and killed next to us with an automatic weapon. We all thought we were dead. First thing I did was call my mom to tell her goodbye and I loved her. Thanking and praising the lord we are okay. Packed my truck full of people. One died in the back of the truck and my fiance had to carry him inside the hospital. This was a nightmare. I've never ran for my life like I did tonight."

The shooting is considered the largest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.
