Humane Rescue saves injured bald eagle in D.C.

It was an eventful start to the Fourth of July weekend for the Washington Humane Rescue Field Services team.

According to a post on their Facebook page, Officers Phillips, Moyer, and Jesien arrived on scene in Southeast Washington, Saturday afternoon after receiving a report of an injured bald eagle in .

The adult bald eagle was demonstrating labored breathing, lethargy, and was unable to fly.

Humane Rescue officers were able to safely capture the bald eagle and transport to City Wildlife for care.
