Heat, humidity and possibility of storms for DC region Tuesday

Temperatures are heating up, the humidity is building and the possibility for afternoon and evening thunderstorms is moving in across parts of the D.C. region on Tuesday.

FOX 5's Mike Thomas says highs around 95 degrees can be expected later this afternoon. As the heat and humidity climb, a cold front will move in from the west and could be the trigger point for some showers and thunderstorms later in the day.

Mike says the likelihood of showers along the I-95 corridor Tuesday is low and that most of the storms will probably stay to areas out to the west. The cold front will however bring the possibility of storms to our area each day this week and into the weekend.
