Graffiti spray-painted on Fallen Heroes Memorial

Police are investigating a pair of vandalism incidents in Bel Air, Maryland, which included graffiti being spray-painted on a memorial dedicated to first responders in Harford County.

Bel Air police say the "malicious destruction" happened overnight from Monday night into Tuesday at the Fallen Heroes Memorial on South Bond Street and on a wall of a structure on South Main Street.

The letters "MS" was written on the memorial while "MS13" was spray-painted at the other location. While MS-13 is often referred to Mara Salvatrucha 13, a well-known gang, police believe these incidents are isolated and not related to any gang activity.
