Georgia mother, daughter give birth at same hospital on same day

A Georgia family is celebrating a double blessing this week and feeling extra grateful ahead of Thanksgiving.

Tobie McNorton told FOX 5 her sister, Amanda Stephens, 40, welcomed a baby boy at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton on Wednesday.

The reason why the family is calling it a double blessing is because Amanda's 24-year-old daughter, Haley Buxton, also had a baby at Tanner on the exact same day. In fact, the mother-daughter duo each gave birth within three hours of each other.

Amanda welcomed Landon Cash at 9:44 a.m. He weighed 7 pounds, 1 ounce.

Haley gave birth to a little girl, Aubree Nicole, at 12:10 p.m. She weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces.

Both moms and the newborns are all healthy and doing great.

The hospital told the family it was the first time they'd had a mother and daughter deliver on the same day.
