Freezing temperatures for weekend; quick bursts of snow possible

Strong gusts of winds will make for bitterly cold temperatures in the D.C. region Friday - and into the weekend.

Wind chills will keep the temperatures in the teens and upper 20s for most of the day.

In addition to the freezing temperatures, the arctic blast may bring quick bursts of snow to the area on Saturday. The snow will be similar to what we experienced on Thursday and shouldn't develop into anything major.

Another system next week could bring snow to the area Tuesday into Wednesday.
