Exotic cat spotted in Virginia Beach escaped NC home in October
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (FOX 5 DC) - An exotic cat who escaped from his home in Kitty Hawk, N.C. in October was seen in Virginia Beach this past week, and the authorities want to return him to his owner.
They say "Rocky" is a domesticated cat, who is comfortable around dogs, people, and children.
The cat - who was seen near the 2300 block of Shore Drive - has long legs, and an estimated weight of 25 pounds. Animal control officers say the cat appeared to be about 25 inches tall.
Rocky's collar had two boxes on it, and it may have escaped through an electric fence.
Animal control officers say his GPS tracking collar's battery died about three days after he disappeared from his owner's home.
