EXCLUSIVE: Gang rape accuser says she found out about attack after video posted on Snapchat

WASHINGTON - A woman who said she was gang raped inside a home in Prince William County is speaking out for the first time as she shared her account of what happened.

"I think the feds should be involved because from what I've heard about them, it's a serial behavior," said the victim.

She said the alleged crime happened inside a Haymarket home by four men and a 17-year-old boy.

"I remember drinking something, it was like a soda bottle," she described. "I can't recall who handed me the bottle, and a few minutes later, everything went foggy and they led me into a kind of gym room where a single bed was."

Prince William County police said the alleged rape happened on October 23.

The woman said she woke up the next day with her engagement ring, diamond earrings and underwear missing.

"Other people have reached out to me that they had the same experience with the same guys," said the woman.

Police said the lead investigator on the case is trying to determine if more victims exist.

"Have the courage to speak up," the victim urged. "Call the detectives. They don't necessarily need to tell your name, but tell them what happened and they're going to handle case very sensitively because if you don't get treatment for a rape case or an abuse case, it's not going to get better."

The accuser said she found out she was raped after a defendant posted the encounter on social media.

"It was a Snapchat video," she said. "He didn't say anything. It was just showing me being completely unconscious and being taken from behind.

"I went immediately to the hospital, got a rape kit done and the police got involved."

More than three weeks later, she is still suffering. She said she is now seeing a psychiatrist for help.

She told FOX 5 that she worked at a restaurant with two of the defendants last year. She also said on the day the incident happened, there was no party. She went to the home with a friend trying to retrieve a stolen cell phone which police later found.
