District Heights police vehicle transporting prisoner to a hospital crashes in Largo

LARGO, Md. - A District Heights police vehicle was transporting a prisoner when it crashed into another vehicle in the Largo area on Friday.

The crash at the intersection of Central Avenue and Morgan Boulevard was reported around 6 p.m.

Police were transporting the prisoner to Prince George's General Hospital.

An officer suffered some injuries, but they are not life threatening, according to police.

The prisoner was not injured.

The other driver had minor injuries.
