DC Weather: Chilly end to week; cold and mostly dry weekend
WASHINGTON - Bundle up for a chilly Friday, Saturday, and Sunday across the Washington, D.C. region, with temperatures remaining well below average this weekend.
"Not much of a warmup over the next couple of days," said FOX 5’s Taylor Grenda. "Through the weekend, it's going to remain chilly. It's next week where we'll get out of the 40s and get back to the 50s for a couple of days."
Grenda says Friday will start with sunshine and is expected to stay dry. Some snow shower activity could pass through to the far north and west into Pennsylvania. Clouds will move in by the end of the day.
Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing by early Saturday morning. "We're talking about teens to 20s once again," Grenda said. "It's going to be a cold day all day long, upper 30s to maybe low-40s at the warmest."
Sunday will begin dry, with chilly highs that remain in the 40s. "It's late Sunday and throughout the day on Monday, and really each and every day next week, where we'll have the chance for some rain showers," said Grenda.
Next week’s unsettled conditions will bring the chance of rain each day through Thursday. The next week will warm up, however, with temperatures in the 50s, and even in the 60s on Tuesday.
