DC police officer struck by car in SE DC

WASHINGTON - On Thursday evening a D.C. police officer was struck near the 2200 block of Southern Ave in Washington.

The male officer is conscious and breathing, the accident is not life threatening.

The driver of the car who struck the officer remained at the scene and is working with officials.
