Cheverly police officer charged with rape, sodomy in Frederick
FREDERICK, Md. - A Cheverly police officer is accused of raping and sodomizing a woman in Frederick, according to officials.
Frederick police arrested 27-year-old Kevin Bahram Zarrin-Kelkye last week after a woman told hospital staff she'd been raped, and then identified Zarrin-Kelkye as the attacker.
The victim told police that Zarrin-Kelkye - who has also served with the Frederick County Sheriff's Office - raped her in his home in Frederick's Waterford neighborhood on Wednesday after midnight.
On Friday, police charged Zarrin-Kelkye with first and second-degree rape, third-degree sex offense, sodomy, and first and second-degree assault.
He is currently jailed without bail.
