Cherry blossoms poised for early bloom

WASHINGTON - D.C.’s iconic cherry blossoms appear eager to emerge this year.

According to the National Park Service, the Yoshino trees have reached their green bud stage – the first of six culminating in their peak bloom

They’re reaching stage one six days earlier than last year – though later than 2017 or 2018.
